Lauren

Dr. Lauren Kaplan - D.Ac., L.Ac., Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM)®

Lauren is a nationally board certified Doctor of Acupuncture who came to acupuncture out of her own desperate need to find pain relief from an 18-month long broken coccyx injury. While Lauren had a tremendous fear of needles and was the most unlikely person ever to become an acupuncturist, she loves helping patients, especially the skeptics, feel their best. You can read more here.
She earned her Doctor of Acupuncture, Master of Science in Acupuncture and Bachelor of Professional Studies degrees from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. Lauren is certified in facial rejuvenation and also served as an intern at NYU Lutheran Hospital in the Orthopedic/Neurology department where she received additional training in acupuncture for post-stroke sequelae.
Lauren honed her people and business skills as the owner of ThinkingKap, LLC, a firm that specializes in brand development and marketing strategy for businesses such as ADP, Mercedes-Benz USA, Willis International, Starz, Universal Studios, and others.
Dr. Kathy

Kathy D’Agati
Holistic Nutrition Coach, Certified Gluten Practitioner

Kathy is healing-foods crusader driven by her passion to end our modern-day epidemic of autoimmune disease and chronic conditions like acid reflux, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, and persistent weight gain to name a few.
Her most recent studies are also focused on the powerful healing effects of food on the brain. Kathy lost both her mother and her grandmother to the devastatingly cruel disease of Alzheimer’s. That long painful goodbye became a driving force to learn all she could to prevent that disease from ever destroying another loved one.
Kathy teaches committed men and women how to nourish themselves and their families, so they can live vibrant, healthy lives at every age. She continually updates her programs as she studies with doctors on the cutting edge of nutrition science.
Kathy’s clients gain education, inspiration and empowerment from her programs and achieve their long sought-after goals. Using her many years of experience, she quickly identifies the obstacles that derailed success in the past and finds innovative ways to move beyond the barriers to achieve lasting success
Kathy is a 2007 graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition with a certification from Columbia Teachers College. Kathy studied with Dr. Tom O’Bryan, a teacher at Functional Medicine University, and became a Certified Gluten Practitioner in 2016.
She loves educating through public speaking and her writings are frequently published in Natural Awakenings magazine.
